Our Story
Bennetts Blinds & Curtains has been outfitting Midwest homes, offices and commercial spaces since the mid-1980s. What started as a small curtain shop on the North West Coastal Highway has grown into the region’s most established window furnishing specialist but the values haven’t changed a bit.
Every curtain we install is still cut, sewn and finished in our own workroom right here in Geraldton, by our in-house seamstress. When you call us, a real person answers. When we measure your windows, a member of our team comes out not a sub-contractor.
As a Luxaflex Gallery dealer and the home of Choices Flooring Geraldton, we offer one of the largest curated selections of premium window coverings in the Midwest.

Our Journey
A snapshot of the milestones that shaped Bennetts Blinds & Curtains into the trusted local name it is today.
The business originally opened on Marine Terrace as the Elite Supply Co., selling clothing and manchester.
It later rebranded as Bennetts Elite Supply Co. under F.W. Bennetts. It grew into a major local institution, employing over 40 staff members by the mid-1980s.
Alongside fashion, the department store established a highly regarded internal curtain and blind division.
After 92 years of continuous operation, long-time owner Bill Van Ast retired, and the main Bennetts clothing store closed down. However, the specialised curtain shop was sold separately to new local owners – To Mitch March and moved to NWC Highway
Operating independently as Bennetts Blinds & Curtains, the business transitioned away from Marine Terrace and relocated inside the Choices Flooring building on North West Coastal Highway. It continues to manufacture its custom curtains locally in its own specialised regional workroom
